This is KC. KC used to be called Johnny Hanna, Jr. My college roommates my freshman year brought him home from Wal-Mart one Saturday morning in March. After a couple of days, we all knew we couldn't keep him in our apartment. So I brought him home to my little sister, Bill, as a birthday present for her 8th birthday. Bill renamed him KC. She loves him!!! We found out he is most likely a black lab/border collie mix when my parents took him to the vet. With a border collie comes the instinct to herd, so he hates it when people are in separate rooms. He walks around the house from room to room and tried to get everyone all together. He also might nip at your ankles if you're running through the house ;)
We say he's also part kangaroo, because he can jump and get his head to the top of a sliding glass door. Trust me, my parents door has nose marks all over the glass... He's a good guard dog as well. He barks when a car pulls into the cul-de-sac where my parents live, and when someone knocks on the door or rings the doorbell. If you aren't one of his people and you're not with one of us, he will not let you in the door. I even borrowed him for a few nights when I lived in the ghetto in Boise and was by myself.
KC is a very smart dog. He knows lots of tricks: sit, lay down, get in the kitchen, shake, pound it, come, stay, get on the rug, fetch... He will also let you put a treat or people food on his nose, and he'll sit there very still until you tell him, "Get it!" You can do the same thing with a treat on the floor a few feet away from him.
KC's best friend's name is Kallie. She's kind of dumb, and she barks a lot and doesn't know very many tricks. He still loves her anyways. They chase each other around the backyard. KC gets along very well with most other animals, except the poor little baby kitty at my parents' house. He just sits and stares at it when they're in the same room. He'll come running if he hears it.

Thankfully, they moved away, and we haven't had any more issues. Sadly, the poor dog doesn't like little kids much anymore. If he knows the kids already, it's okay. If he doesn't, we usually don't let them around him. The only other person he has ever really bit is my brother Kelton when Kelton has his AirSoft gun out. Totally understandable!
Ok, that's pretty much it for KC. He's a great dog! So many thanks to Cari and Allison for being the reason my family still has him!

Hooray for dog's, roommates, and most of all for giving a family a friend!!!
oh, I did hate that dog. but he looks like he has a good life with your sister :)
I remember taking him out to poop at like 6am and watching the manager's house for movement...I can't believe we never got caught especially with all the great "friends" we had in that complex ;)
Johnny Hanna as in the guy from BYU-Idaho???? If so, my roommates had the biggest crush on him!
